Hello,
We have recently build a new Linux server and installed Ralus.

Unfortunately though, our media server isn't recognising the new addition. I have tried to manually add the Linux server through 'User-Defined Selections' (host name and IP), it does indeed add but when I try to expand the entry, I get an error message asking for me to logon with certain credentials. I created the right credentials but I get an error message indicating that it cannot find the source.
I have restarted the media server and also made sure I can ping the linux server from it.
Any pointers here would be appreciated.
Regards,
Lee

Please close this call.
I followed the guide given here
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH35477.
The log then indicated that the agent couldn't connect to the media server...... I entered the details wrong..
thanks and regards,
Lee.

What is the version of BE and Linux that you are using? Have you tried stopping and starting the RALUS?

Hello,
Sorry, the version of BE is 12.5 and the version of Ralus is 12.5.2213.
Yes, I've tried stopping and starting the services on both the Linux machine and the media server. I've also rebooted both.
I'm unsure whether or not the linux server should automatically appear in the selection, or whether or not I have to manually add it?
Thanks for the reply though.
