I usually patch Backup Exec based on what is recommended via Liveupdate. As of now for instance I have 11d with hotfix 16 applied (DDI), SP2 applied, patch 33 applied and patch 32 waiting. However I notice that patch 29 (latest DDI) does now show up when Liveupdate is run and is not part of SP2. It looks like only library drivers are updated and not tape drivers anyways. So I am wondering should I expect LiveUpdate to recommend new device drivers when they are available? Should I apply hotfix 29 even though the library isn't using a Symantec driver (tape is however)? Should hotfix 16 (DDI) be removed prior to 29?
Mainly wondering as I'm ready to apply hotfix 32 and can update to hotfix 29 at same time.
