Login failure on a server that I can access 100 ways to sunday

I have a server Win 2k3 SP1 running Exchange Enterprise 2003. I can install the remote agents. I can see and use c$, e$, etc.. shares. I can ping the server (of course). I have an unique exchange user I have added to the domain admins group and to the local administrators group on the server. No matter what I do or what account I use, I get "Logon account "DOMAIN\User" failed to access "Server". The directory or file was not found, or could not be accessed.

Like I say, I can do anything to this server, but BE can't see get to it in "User Defined Selections"

Can anyone give me some tips on how to get this to work. It seems like I have tried all the trouble shooting tips in the support pages.
