Dear Sir,

Can Backup Exec 9.1 and MS SQL Server 2000 with SP3a install in the same server?

Yes you can. If you have SQL installed first then Backup Exec will install a new instance of SQL for itself to hold its data, otherwise if SQL is not there when it is installed it will use MSDE instead.
