Mac Agent limitations

Are there any limitations in the agent for Mac OS 10.4?

We are running BE 10 SP1 on Win 2003 Server and planning to buy a Mac XServe and XServe RAID for file-services to our advert-department. Can I expect any problems backing up the new server?

Hi,

There are no known issues. However please check the following links:

synthetic backups don't like mac files, if I'm correct. I'd planned a D2D2T routine, but it wouldn't allow them to be a part of the backup setup until I removed them from the list.

Really? I would consider no support for DLO, AOFO, CPS, ADBO, and IDR "significant" issues lol! Significant enough for me to consider switching from BENT 10 to another vendor. Don't get me wrong - BENT is great for a windows, but support for Macs is sub-standard. Someone please prove (and show me) wrong as I really want to leverage my investment in BENT 10.

What D2D2T routine do you implement?
