Media Remove Alert - How to remove this setting

Cat_Adams

I had to recreate my backups...  Now I am getting a "Media Remove" Alert.  My backup jobs will not send the email that the backup is completed until I go to the server, and go to Symantec Backup 2010 and click on the Alerts and acknowledge the message.  Where is that setting to turn that off??

I have included a screen shot of the alert.  Also,  some of the servers do not have anything checked in the boxes at the left hand corner of the alert and some do so there is nothing different that I can see.  I have also gone to the Tools, Alert Catergories and made sure that the Media Remove category does not have any settings checked except for the Record event in Windows Event Log.  I have a screen shot of that also.  AND after I made the changes,  I restarted the backup exec services.

Thanks much for your assistance in resolving this issue.  It is driving me crazy.......

You should be able to set a autorespond to the alert.

As always CraigV,  you are right there.  Thanks so much for responding so quickly.  I will do this and hopefully when checking my email at home in the morning,  I can see if my backups were a success or failed.

Take care.
