Media mount failed

Dear all,

I'm using Veritas BackupExec since the old days of 7.11 version both under novell and windows, but for the first time I cannot find a solution to the following issue.

Symantec Backup Exec 10.d (10.1 Rev. 5629)

Media Mount Failed
User canceled a Physical Volume Library operation.


Can anyone help on this topic ? I already tried to apply document ID 240947

yes i am getting the same issue and is one of many regarding BE V10 5220.

Hello,

Since when do you get this error? What device are you using for the backup job? Also check if there are any media related errors in the backup exec alerts tab. Is this an Overwrite job or an append job? Make sure the media you use is either pverwriteable or appendable (as per the job type selected).

- Install the latest device drivers
- upgrade the device firmware

Hope this helps. You can also confirm from the hardware vendor and verify if its a hardware problem.
