We are using Veritas 9.1, HP DL380 G4 Server, and HP Ultrium 960 tape drive.
The backups are either running very slowly or get hung up and have to be cancelled. According to the Job Log this happens whenever the Backup must reach accross the network to access the Exchange Mailboxes.
1. Should I use the drivers for the HP Tape Drive from Veritas or from HP?
2. If I run Veritas on the Exchange Server and connect the Tape drive locally to that machine will it speed up the backup of the Exchange Mailboxes?
3. What could be causing Veritas to hang for hours on one particular Mailbox?
