Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group Error, Unable to open

Hello folks,

The exact error is:

"Backup - \\LAN-SERVER\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group Error, Unable to open \ because it is currently being backed up by another process.
Database or database element is corrupt"

I can confirm there is no NTBACKUP runnning or scheduled and there is no Volume Shadow Copy set up or scheduled (it is disabled).

Can anyone help?

In your selection list of the job - uncheck Userdata under Shadow Copy components.

The issue can occur if the Exchange components are selected via shadow copy components\user data as well as via the Exchange agent icon. Solution is to deselect the Exchange components under user data.
