I need to restore from TAPE my database to the same server, but as an alternate database name, in other words, not over-writing the original database. All the documents I'm finding so far (and I've looked at a lot!) all talk about restoring to a DIFFERENT server and I want to restore to the SAME server, just with a different database name w/o over-writing the orignal. How can I do this?
I also tried to restore it to a different database by backing up, restoring to a new file and over-writing that. They tried to restore to the same server and over-write that new database, that doesn't work either.
The error I keep getting is: "Unable to create selection list."
