Backup's continually request an additional tape once the amount of data being written gets to 12Gig.
The tape drive has the latest firmware (L411) from 5/26/2005
The latest Veritas tape drivers have been installed
Tape unit passes HP Storageworks Library & Tape Tools compression tests
Job is configured to use Hardware compression if available, otherwise software -but we have also tried hardware only & software only.
We have changed drive dip switches from the default to remove host control of drive compression
Basically running out of ideas -apart from a reinstall of Veritas.
