Not able to restore the data..

Hi All,
Whenever I tried to restore data its give me the below mentioned error. In the Media Catagior I'm able to view the data. but not able to restore the data. please help....

If Catalog gets corrupts is it possible to regenrate the same.so that we will restore the data.

Please note that if the catalogs are corrupt then will have to recatalog the media for successful restore.

I'm not getting you. Please tell me in brief. first, how to recatalog the media. and 2nd why this type of error occur. what are the possiblitlies to occure this error.
