Recently I have been experiencing problems with my backups failing with the following error message:
Storage device "HP 1" reported an error on a request to write data to media.
Error reported:
Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
In the Microsoft Application Event Log this is displayed as the following event id's:
33152: Adamm Mover Error: Write Failure!
Error = ERROR_CRC
Drive = "HP 1"

I am running Backup Exec 9.1 Rev 4691 on a Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition. I ran diagnostics on the media device and I have also been erasing tapes before running the backups.
