Pre Sales - Disaster Recovery with 10d and CPS

I am interested in CPS but I would like to see what sort of procedures would be in store for me if I suffer a major disk failure, or server failure when I have CPS, and or IDR.

Can you point me in the direction of a fairly technical breakdown of :

a) The procedures involved (lacking technical details if you feel I am only entitled to this after I purchase) in carrying out a Disaster Recovery of a server that has been backed up using CPS

b) How IDR integrates with CPS, ie. what changes are there from the IDR system I currently use which involves a CD-R I made using the IDR wizard, and a full backup tape of the server that I want to recover.Message was edited by:

Hello,

CPS is not intended to be used for full disaster recovery or bare metal restore. Backup Exec backups include System State and additional items required for a full system restore.

For information on Backup Execs disaster recovery capabilities, see the following TechNote:
http://support.veritas.com/docs/278578.

You can also find additional information in the CPS admin handbook. Here is the link for the download:

Revert in case you still have any queries on this.

Note : If we do not receive your reply within two business days, this post would be marked assumed answered and would be moved to answered questions pool.
