I am kinda new at this so any help would be apriciated.  I have a request to run an incrmental backup and as soon as it is done run a redirect restore. 1 is this possible 2 is so how 3 sorry about the spelling.

No, this is not possible.

The way that it is written, the volume to restored from must exist in the catalog when the Restore job is created

We (the users) have been asking since v6.1 (that I know of) for teh ability to specify "restore filename.ext from the latest version of media set xxxxxxxx"

We are still waiting  :^(
