I have no problem backing up a ordinary Windows server but when it comes to backing up a linux server I get this error message.

I'm running Windows server 2003 SP1 and BE 11 (hotfix 14) and the linux server is a Suse 9.3 ent edition sp2.
Steps taken:
- Reinstalled the agent
- MDAC checked
- I can access the linux server from BE and I can make file selections
- permissions are ok
- the beop(something) group exist and root is a member
- Backup from windows machines work fine
- BE agent port is not blocked it was avalable
- Dont run novell eDirectory
- No NIS server
I get the error message as soon as I run the job! the error mesage pops up.
One thing I haven tried is reinstalling BE but I dont think that will solve my problem and yes I've upgraded from BE 10 to 11. This is not a clean install.
