Problem backing up to SAN disk to file

All,

I'm trying to backup my project files from our main IBM Win2000 server using the Disk to file option (to a Dell SAN 745N) when I get this error message: "unable to create new folder -- access denied"

I have set my permissions and shares to allow admin and everyone else but does not seem to work.

Questions: What do I need to know and/or am I backing up incorrect to this device?

thanks in advance

Hello,

This appears to be access rights issue.
Please use following tips to resolve the issue.
1. Ensure that Backup EXec service account is a member of "Administrators"
group of target system. This is very important.
2. If the target system is in workgroup or in different domain , then
perform following.
a. Create an user account on the target system , which is same as the
Backup Exec service account.
b. Keep the password of this new account , same as the Backup EXec service
account.
c. Add this new user in the local Administrators group of target system
d. Create one shared folder on the target system
e. While creating the B2D folder specify the folder, which you have created
and shared.
