Problem with creating Backup to Disk folder

I have a customer who wants to implement remote site backup over a VPN.  He has Windows SBS 2008 installed at one location and an IOmega StorCenter ix2 NAS at another.  We are using BE 2010 R2 Not for Resale edition.  Initial setup went well and we started a full backup.  As expected, performance over the VPN was unsatisfactory so I moved the NAS to the local nework to do a local Full backup.  After the requisite resetting of the IP address and a subsequent re-registration in DNS, I tried unsuccessfully to again do a Full backup.  I deleted and tried to recreate the Backup to Disk folder and now I get the following error:

Failed to log on to: cfmc-backup.cfmc.local
Logon account: System Logon Account

The directory or file was not found, or could not be accessed.

There are no connectivity issues or permissions issues to the NAS that I can tell.

What am I doing wrong?

You should add the BESA as a local administrator with full rights on your NAS.
