Problems Creating Selection List

CageIT

I am trying to add an additional server to one of my selection lists.
Both are SQL servers and when I make the selections on the new
server I am unable to save the selection list. When I click the ok
button the selection list does not save and close it just stays there.
As soon as I uncheck my selections on the new SQL server it saves
and closes normaly. Does anyone have an idea as to why this is
happening?

Hi CageIt,

What happens if you create a new selection list do you have same problem.

I created a separate new selection list for the new SQL server and it works just fine.
I have tried creating a new selection list then merging the old one into it but that
dosn't work either. It seems very strange as I have not had this problem until now.
Currently I have several selection lists backing up multiple servers so why I can't
seem to get these two servers added in the same selection list just baffles me.
I really don't want to have to put it in its own list as I want to backup both servers
with the same job.

Any chance the selection list is actively in use by a job or a policy, and thus cannot be edited?

The list is not currently in use and I can modify the existing selections.
For some reason though it won't allow me to close the selection list
once I have made the selections for my new server.

Im also having this same issue and dont seem to be able to get any help regarding it. Bassically what I have to do to remove or add resources or even single files to my selection lists is to delete the job and then recreate it.

This is the solution - seems to have fixed mine.
