Hi,
I am trying to backup 2 SQL hosts 1 SQL 2005 and another SQL 2008 R2, both are running on Windows 2008 R2.
The jobs hang at a Snapshot processing error, they also max out the SQL server connections. Most seen so far is 2600 SQL connections, both SQL server have 1 instance with over 700 DB's in that instance.
The jobs do back up data just not all of it, they get about 30% of the way through, then the SQL connections max out and the job hangs.
We are running the SQL backup agent.
Any clues?

Are you running on Backup Exec 2010 R3 ? SQL 2008R2 is only supported by 2010R3 (or BE2012).
If not, please install R3 and run liveupdate to make sure all available patches/hotfixes are downloaded and installed. Also push the remote agent again to the SQL servers.

BE 2010 R2 also support SQL 2008 R2.

Hi,
What all have you tried so far in terms of troubleshooting? A restart of the servers? Have you checked the VSS writers (command prompt --> vssadmin list writers) to make sure they are all stable?
Any AV perhaps scanning the beremote.exe services on the SQL servers? If so, put in exclusions for them and try again.
Thanks!
