Problems with backup of MSSQL$BKUPEXEC\Data\

Hallo togehter...

i want to backup on a clusternode (and backup exec cluster) the data of backup exec sql located in
"C:\Programme\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$BKUPEXEC\Data\"
Her I get a message, that the files aren´t readable.

on the first clusternode I have no problems with backup of these files...

where could be the problem?

Hello,

Have you installed the appropriate licenses on both the nodes?

Installing Backup Exec on only one node in a cluster is not recommended. Backup
Exec does not fail over when the primary node fails, so backup operations cannot
continue unless Backup Exec is installed on the secondary node as well.
Requirements for Installing Backup Exec on Both Nodes
u Separate, licensed copies of either Backup Exec Single Server or Multi-Server
Edition installed on both nodes.
u If appropriate, separate, licensed copies of a Backup Exec database agent, such as
the SQL Server Agent or Exchange Server Agent installed on both nodes.
Tip It is recommended that identical storage devices and drivers be
installed on each node so that backup media can be restored from either node.

thanks for reply.

what i didn't say is, that the backup exec cluster is not my primary backup exec server and it's not the backup exec trying to backup the sql files.

i installed on both nodes backup exec, and both configs are the same.
this cluster installation is not working live, just a second installation of backup exec in the environment.
my primary backup server backups both node-systems via agent, and here i get the described problems...
