Hello Guys.
I have an error with a Dll file "SQLVDI.dll" This problem has occoured a few times since one of our disks failed, the backup job does not complete or go any further, I was wondering what may be the cause of this? and what version should the dll file be? we run SQL 2005 on a Windows 2003 Server, what should the correct file version be?
- The DLL file is registered
I am just wondering what may be the cause of this, and if it could be a result of an outdated agent on the server..
My main question is if i push out the agent update to the server. WIll it require a reboot after the update is complete (Not the AOFO Option)
Thanks

If you push an Agent without AOFO than a reboot is not required.

Hi
If your issue is with SQL VDI when during the backup of SQL with backup exec , Please check link below which refer to a patch for Microsoft to resolve the SQL VDI issue.
