Question re Error: ADAMM media identification.

Hi,

I hope this is the correct place to post my question.

I recently installed BE12 and I have one job that keeps failing with this error message:
"Unable to determine ADAMM media identification. Catalog query failed."

Can you explain this error and what I can try to fix it?

Sounds like a data base problem

You could start with a database repair (BEUTIL )

If that doesn't work, and if there is no data on the tape that you can't live without, try re-labeling the tape.

Hi Ken,

Thanks for the suggestion. I have copied the policy/jobs that were generating the error to new policy/jobs. I also created a new B2D media set and pointed the new policy to this media set.

This seems to have fixed the problem.
