Quick way to tell what files/dirs have grown/shrunk day by day

Hi there,

Is there a quick, easy way of finding out what files/directories have been created or modified day by day?

Let me explain......

Basically, our nightly backups are taking longer and longer due to the drives getting fuller. Say for instance one night it backs up 170GB, then the next night it backs up 180GB. Without trawling through the logs in Backup Exec, surely there's gotta be a way to find out what files have changed in size or been created. There should be a report you can run in Backup Exec that keeps track of file/dir sizes night by night.

This is something I've been meaning to ask for a while now. It would be really handy to know which files/dirs have been growing or shrinking day by day.

If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Graham

Hi,

Have you tried running differential or incremental backups?
