Quickstart OEM Edition and Encryption?

I hope someone here can help, I've been searching all over Google, and not found anything that can answer my question.

 

I'm using a copy of Backup Exec 12 Quickstart edition that came with my Sony tape drive.  I'm able to make backups, but I also want to encrypt these backups.  However, I can't seem find any of the options for encryption.

 

Is encryption included in the Quickstart Edition?

I really don't see  Encryption being in the Quickstart  version.  It wasn't even offered in v11d at all

 

a call to sales may confirm this

Is there any news on this? I found a PDF about 11d QuickStart that said it supported encryption. Maybe they removed it from 12? I cannot find options for encryption even though I've been looking through every menu and property window for the past hour.

 

If it doesn't do encryption then it's no good to me, I'd be better off with some free software like Cobian Backup which provides lots of flavours of file encryption and doesn't sprawl itself out over 750MB of disk space. It's a shame because Backup Exec does have some nice features.
