READ THE 9.1 data recorded in a version 12

Hello

I need to move from version 9.1 backup exec to version 12. I have a robotics unit. I need to know as I read in the new version and the tapes recorded with the 9.1

Hi Infoamara,

Backup Exec 12 can read, and restore previous version of Backup Exec, including 9.1. All BE tapes are written in  MTF2.0.   You will need to put the tape in the tape drive inventory and do a media based catalog on it.   You should then be able to go to the restore tab and see the sets to be recovered.

Yes, the data backed  using BEWS 9.0 / 9.1 can be restored using BEWS 12.0.
