Recovery Storage Group for IS..?

Problem:

User's Palm nuked her Calender. I have a full Information Store backup, but not a recent Mailbox store backup (dont ask.)

Can the Recovery Storage Group feature in 2003 Exchange be used to load the IS backup? Could I then use exmerge to get her calender data?

Or does the Recovery feature only support the mailbox store.

I'd like to avoid building a recovery server, ouch. Any way to do this with Recovery feature?

Thank you!

Exmerge can pull data from information store to the pst and back to information store and the same for the exchange mailbox data too BUT iam not sure if it can pull calender data. I guess it should be able to do so.

You may refer to this technote on Qand A on exmerge.

Thanks for the reply.

More specifically - which of the three backup sets ( Public, Mailbox, and Information Store, I'm doing all three but dont have a recent Mailbox backup, only the IS ) can be loaded into a Recovery Storage Group?

Looking further, I see there is a subfolder under the Information Store backup called Mailbox Store. Can this specific subfolder of the IS be loaded to a Recovery group?
