Does anyone have any idea what this error means and how to solve this problem?

Event Type:Error
Event Source:Service Control Manager
Event Category:None
Event ID:7000
Date:2/18/2005
Time:8:48:53 AM
User:N/A
Computer:myComp3
Description:
The ASPI Manager service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

The above error I believed is related to the Backup Eexec program.

Greetings !!

"The system cannot find the device specified." - This error occurs when a hardware device was removed without removing the drivers as well. The service reported varies depending on the hardware.

Please provide some additional informationf or e.g. any recent changes, when this problem started occuring.

Hope this helps.

Well, I guess this particular event ID has quite a few other problems. There are quite a whole range of problems that use the same event id 7000. One other problems that I start seeing is this error:

Event Type:Error
Event Source:Service Control Manager
Event Category:None
Event ID:7000
Date:2/18/2005
Time:8:10:02 AM
User:N/A
Computer:myComp3
Description:
The Network Load Balancing service failed to start due to the following error:
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

As far as I know, I have not remove any hardware from this server. All I ever did with this server is installed Backup Exec 9.01 and the remote agent to two other servers. Now, all three servers receive this exact same error about the network load balance.

Thanks for responding.

Any idea how to resolve these problems? We do not use cluster servers but after I install the Veritas Backup Exec, I start seeing these three errors everytime I reboot the servers...Backup Exec server, file server, and database server. I have never seen these errors before in these three servers.

According to this link:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;%5BLN%5D;Q833375

Backup Exec must have referenced it somewhere beecause after I have Backup Exec installed, I start seein this error. Anyone know where I turn this referencing off?

Hello,

Try the steps mentioned in the following technote:

Title :After installing VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.x or 10.x on a Windows 2003 server, an error message is generated indicating that the Network Load Balancing Service failed to start.
