Remote Agent for 9.1

I have 9.1 installed on a Windows 2003 stand alone server. I want to add a remote agent to one of my new servers. Are 9.1 remote agent licenses still available for purchase ?

If not, can I buy a 10d remote agent license and use this ? What are the gotchas by doing this ?

You may still be able to get your hands on a 9.1 remote agent license somewhere, but you should be fine using a v10 one instead, as I believe the agent licenses all work with older versions of the server software.

Best bet though to be certain would be to contact customer services, and check with them to make sure. Contact details are here :

They should even be able to confirm the exact part number(s) you need, which with the number of different variations around is handy, as I know personally they confuse the hell out of me!

'Fraid Keith is incorrect. A v10.0 server will accept a v9.1 Remote Agent, but not the other way around. The SCL specifically says that the compatibility is for "purposes of rolling updates" which I take to mean during an upgrade, but not on a continuing basis

You can generally find v9.1 serials (including Remote Agents) on EBay
