Remotely backing up Windows Server 2008

Hi,

I hope someone can be of assistance. I currently have 2 servers. One which is running Windows Server 2003 with Backup Exec 10d version 10.1 (with Sony tape drive).I have recently moved the staff shared area from this server onto another domain controller which is Windows Server 2008. What i want to be able to do is to backup this area using backup exec on the older server. When i browse in the selections list, the 2008 server is greyed out and reads the following message:

****Selection of this item is disabled. Possible reason are:*******

Before i begin going through the list of reason i wanted to know if there was any known reason why what i am trying to do would not be possible....

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Kevin Bennett

As a start i have tried attempting to install the remote agent onto the windows 2008 server, but when putting in logon credentials i keep getting either 'access is denied' or 'the account is not valid'....

What acount does the installation require?

10D does not support Windows 2008 you wil lneed to upgrade BackuP Exec to 12.5 or preferably 2010.
