Unable to auto-configure library unit Changer0. The current setup of the library unit does not support automatic configuration. You will either have to modify the current setup of the library to adhere to automatic configuration guidelines (if possible) or manually configure the device.

I am getting this message in my system.evt log

HELP!

Thankyou for your query.

Please refer to the following technote.

When stopping and restarting the Removable Storage service, or upon a reboot, a pop up appears stating "Configuration for device Changer0 failed" and the event log returns the message "Unable to auto-configure library unit Changer0."

We believe this should resolve your issue.

We also assume that the Removable Storage Service has been stopped and deactivated. If not, please deactivate it as Backup Exec demand complete control over the device and this is not possible when RSM is started.
