Removable storage service

I see that the removable storage service on a Windows 2003 server is recommended to bee disabled re. Document ID 262914.

Can I use the same procedure for Backup exec?????

I'm a Netbackup administrator, but now we are going to install Backup exec on our brace office.
So my question is:
Do I have to follow the same procedure as we do for Netbackup, to remove the removable storage service, or is this not necessary on a Backup exex server?

As you are aware of disabling this removable storage service,i would suggest not to remove it but keep it as disable.

Same story...it's recommended to disable RSM with Backup Exec as well as Netbackup. Both need complete control of hardware.
