Restore Error for Exchange 2007 using Backup Exec 12

I am running Backup Exec 12 on a Windows Server 2008

I have created a backup of Exchange 2007 which is running fine. Backup Exec resides on the same server as Exchange and I am NOT using the CPS feature in Backup Exec.

I am trying to do a restore of one users mailbox but keep getting the following error:-

Completed status: Failed Final error: 0xe000848c - Unable to attach to a resource. Make sure that all selected resources exist and are online, and then try again. Final error category: Resource Errors For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-33932

I have spent many hours trying to find an answer to this but am not having any luck what so ever.

Fortunately this is a test server before we go into production so not critical, but I want to make sure we can do a restore BEFORE we go live.

Any hints or tips or ideas anyone has would be gratefull received.

Thanks, Richard

May be an issue with privileges...

Refer  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH51416

How to troubleshoot "Unable to attach to one of the drives" or "unable to attach to a resource" errors that occur (a000848c HEX or e000848c HEX) when a backup or restore job fails with Backup Exec for Windows Servers: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH71780

Thanks for that, I have amended the credentials and the job is getting as far as "Restore" (further than before) but now fails with the following error:-

-- The job failed with the following error: Access is denied.

The Client Service then goes offline and I have to restart the Backup Exec Remote Agent Service

Is the mailbox, which you are trying to restore is been removed/disabled from exchange?

Is the user present in the Active Directory?

The mailbox exists in exchange and the user is present in Active Directory.
