I'm attempting to restore files that were backed up on a long since decommissioned server. I'm using Backup Exec 2010 R3.
While setting up the restore, I've configured a redirect of the restored files to a live, Backup Exec client server. When testing Resource Credentials, BE attempts to authenticate with the deommissioned server. The authentication fails because the server no longer exists. I'm pretty sure this is why the restore fails. Is it possible to change the Resource Credentials Resource when restoring data backed up from a decommissioned server? Do we need to set up a server with the same name as the decommissioned server to validate the credentials just to do the restore?
