Restore of Database File gives SMS errors

Hi,

BE 10.0.522 Hot Fix 15 running on a WINDOWS 2000 advanced Server
Backing up a cluster as a file system on a Novell Netware 6.0 SP5 server

We need to restore database files created using MSACCESS. but get a variety of SMS error messages eg:

Error writing SMS data stream

can not set file characteristics error code 0x5337

Using Doc ID 191726 could not get a restore without some error message.

Any suggestions or relevant experience would be appreciated.

Hello,

Were the backup successful without any errors? As per doc http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/191726.htm, did you attempt a redirected restore? Also check for error in the windows event logs. Create a test folder on the Netware server and attempt a redirected restore to it.

Revert with details if the issue persists.
