Restored files not showing in share

Was testing restore functionality.  I deleted all files out of my home directory which is located at \\fileserver\Users\cparks and mapped as my U: drive

Performed restore from full backup, backup ran successfully. 

U: drive is empty, but if I go to \\fileserver\d$\Users\cparks they are there.  \\fileserver\Users\cparks is showing empty.

Any insight is appreciated.  Thanks

Hi,

Perform a normal restore, and not to a mapped drive and post the results...I've never personally done a restore that way (always on a volume/folder level)...I know BE doesn't recognise mapped drives to backup, and maybe it is the same for restoring...

You cannot use a mapped drive with BE.  Mapped drives are associated with an online session, but BE runs as a batch job.  When you want to backup that drive, add its UNC path to BE and select the UNC path.
