SBS 10d + SQL 2005 on another server.

Hi,

Installing some new servers for a client, one server has SBS 2003 Standard and another server has Server 2003 R2 Standard + SQL 2005 Standard.

Speaking with Veritas sales they suggested getting a SBS 10d license and one remote server agent, I was told that the SQL Agent part of the SBS license could backup the SQL 2005 on the other server.

But in practice this doesn't seem to work. Have installed the remote agent all ok, but when coming to select SQL databases on the remote server i get a error, but no errors when selecting files etc. on the remote server.

Is there something i'm missing? Or do i have the wrong products, do i need a Full Windows Server license then a exchange agent, sql agent and a remote agent to do what i need.

We were doubting what veritas said, but our distribution also confirmed that the SBS license etc. would work...

Thanks

Alex

Sorted the problem!

Had to apply HotFix 6 for 10d to the media server then re-deploy the agent.
