We are replacing our MS SQL2000 server with 2005. I was going to add the new SQL to the backup then take down the older server. BE does not see the SQL instance. I can access the server but not the Datbase. I have 10.0 5520 with SP2 installed. From my understaning that should have installed the fix.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think SQL 2005 is not supported.

Check with Symantec.

v10d supports SQL 2005 and AFAIK is a free upgrade

Might want to check with Symantec Sales before running the install ;)
