I can not get a restore of an SQL 2005 backup to work. This error below makes me think my bexec 10.1d is trying to access the sql 2005 using PIPE methods which is not supported in sql2005 anymore. I cant figure out what is going on. I have bexec sp3 installed and had originally installed the patch to allow sql2005 to be backed up from 2005. This is a windows 2003 server both ends. I have eliminated permissions issues as being the culprit the best way I can. Telling the backup to take the DB OFFLINE also works so it definately has permissions to do that at least, but still fails as such.
