Script-based copy of BE2012 settings

Hi there,

I found a description on how to migrate your BE2012 settings using the beutility.exe tool:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH129826

However, there is a lot of pointing-and-clicking involved in the whole process and the beutility.exe does not seem to have any command-line switches. I think the whole process is not ideal at best for companies that have to run and maintain a whole BE2012 server farm. So is there a solution on how to implement the copy of settings per script / per command line?

No.  There is no such facility.  There should be very little need to migrate the BEDB.

Is there a possibilty to extract the settings directly from the SQL instance and then to create an SQL injection script? Is there some sort of documentation on how the settings are implemented in the data base?

Symantec does not publish the schema of the BEDB and also does not encourage any manipulation of the BEDB.
