To truly backup the backup exec. server that is on a 2012 server do I have to do what is in the article below or is a fix in SP4 that I see is ready and waiting.
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH208015
When it try's to backup the server I get the can't backup a 2012 server unless you assign a drive letter to recovery partition like mentioned in the article.

hello mli7777,
It is not a supported configuration to install Backup Exec on a Windows 2012 server. This will be supported in Backup Exec 2014 which is in beta right now see here for more information: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/blogs/backup-exec-2012-r2-update-news-about-windows-server-2...

BE 2012 can backup Server 2012, i.e. load the BE remote agent, but you CANNOT load BE 2012 itself onto Server 2012.
If you have loaded the BE remote agent onto Server 2012, then you should follow the document and assign a drive letter to the recovery partition.
