Server Hangs on Restart

During occasional reboots, on a few servers in our domain, the server will hang because of the backup exec services.

When the issue happens you try to login to the server via console or terminal services and it will hang on "applying your personal settings". This happens on any user logging in so I would rule out a corrupt NT profile.

This is happening on Windows 2000 & 2003 OS versions. The backup exec versions are 10.x and 9.1.

To fix the issue we have to start the servers in safe mode, disable the services, restart, place them back in automatic startup mode, and reboot again.

No updates or changes to the server are occurring during this time.

Any help would be appreciated.
