Hi
I am currently using Backup exec v11.0 rev 6235. The backup job fails every night due to the services getting stopped. I have to restart the services manually. Anyone have any ideas why this would be occuring? the services are running under the admin account for the domain.
I have tried updating Backup exec, however the install fails for service pack 3 update both in automatic and when attempting a manual install.
Anyone have suggestions on what to do or how to fix these problems.
Anything in the event log about what is happening?
If you know when the services are stopping, what is going on with the event viewer around the same time? When trying to patch, what error message are you getting?
The following seems to be the only entry in the event viewer when the services are being stopped:
"The Backup Exec Server service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s)"
This keeps happening each day, and i need to manually start the services.
