Services strangely stop working. Please Help!!

For some reason the services keep on stopping on my server. It is running Server 2003.
Once the services stop the "Backup Exec Server" Services does not start again. It Just says "Starting" but never starts. I have tried the following below.

- Checked the Services Account to make sure it has
enough permission.

- Stopped all of the services and tried restarting them in the
correct order.

- Used the BEUtility.

- Rebooting the computer.

Reinstalling Backup Exec seems to be the only thing to fix the issue until The services stop again.

Any thoughts would be highly appreciated.

Hi Adam,

Please let us know whether you are getting any events generated under Application event logs related to Backup Exec Services.

Is Backup Exec Remote Agent Service running under Local System Account and all other BE Services under Domain Admin Account?

Do you get any alert or error message while starting the Services ?

Please perform following Steps :

For Windows 2003 Servers
1. At Start > Run, type DCOMCNFG, and press Enter.

2. Expand Component Services and then Computers.

3. Right click on My Computer, and choose Properties.

4. Click on the "Default COM Security" tab (For Windows 2003).

5. Click on the "Edit Default" button in the "Access Permissions" section.

6. Add in the account that is specified for the Backup Exec services, along with the System account, and give them "Allow Access" rights.

7. Click OK, and then OK to close the application.

8. Start the Backup Exec services with the user account.
