Snapshot Processing error

About a week ago, my backups all started finishing as "Missed."

Now I'm looking at our daily incremental backup and its been sitting at "Snapshot Processing" for a very long time. A backup that usually takes 6-7 hours has been running for over 40 hours.

I saw a previous thread about this and it was suggested to run a backup on exchange and SQL with the AOFO turned off. I fail to see how you can backup exchange and SQL though with out the AOFO running.

Please advise.

Backup is now going on 58 hours for a job that should take 6-8.

Any one able to offer any advice?

Did I stump you all? Come on. Someone's got to have an idea on this.

Just separate the backup jobs. You can backup the server with AOFO while excluding exchange and sql from the backup. you can then backup just exchange and then sql using the agents.

I fix snapshot problems by running chkdsk /f on the drive, and then rebooting.

Hello,

It is recommended that the Exchange and SQL Database backups be run without the AOFO while using the resprective database agents!
Have you already created seperate jobs for all the resources? Could you please update us on the issue?

Thanks!
