Sudden Fault With Backup Job.

Thanks for all replies. BE9.1 running along nicely several weeks now and suddenly the daily backup job no longer completes normally.

About 36Gb is backed up daily.

Environment is two servers, Win2K SP4 on each, and one DLT4 drive on the media server.

Backup job backs up folders on two partitions of the remote server via BE Remote Agent. Backup job also backs up System State data on both the media server and the remote server.

Backup job ran fine every day until April 29 05. Since then backups run too long and require termination. Have tried excluding System state data from the backup job, but this did not help.

What can we do to get our backups running normal again? Again, many thanks for all replies.

Hello,

As explained by you in the post that the backups run too long and require termination, please verify if there are any alerts pending in the Alerts tab.
If so let us know the exact alert.
- If anti-virus service is running during backup, please stop it.
- split the backup job into two jobs and check the results.
