Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 on Virtual Machine VMWare / installralus just returns to the command line

I am trying to install the Linux agent for BE 12.5 on SLES 10 i586 which is on a virtual machine vmware on a wmware virtual center 2.5.0

when i run ./installralus it doesn't do anything except return to the command line

I have installed the agent on physical server SLES 10 i586 without problem, so i don't think it comes from the linux version

Where were the files extracted?  If the files were extracted on a Windows server you could see errors.  Try extracting the files on the linux server.

The files are on the CD Symantec, i share the cdrom of my PC with the virtual linux server by the smbmount command and i run ./installralus but it doesn't do anything...
