System State Backup and Restore in Linux OS

Dear All,

Good Morning.. I have an Linux Server which I am taking backup from BE 2012. Is there any way that I can take an Image Backup of the Server and Restore it? If its possible, can you pl let me know how to proceed further.

RALUS (Remote Agent for Linux) is not recommended as an option for a complete DR of a Linux server. Furthermore, Backup Exec does not take image backups of a server. Symantec System Recovery (SSR for Linux in your case) would be better suited for this requirement.

Hello Sathish,

   If your Linux server is a Virtual Machine then you can take backup of that complete VM using the Backup Exec virtulization agent.
