Client is running Backup exec 2010 ver 13.0 Rev 2896 ( 64 bit)
It recently came to light , that a backup job that was created a long time back was unusually modified.
None of the techs have any recollection of doing it.
Is there a way to get the date when the job was last modified ?

Not true. .Backup exec 2010 & probably subsequent versions have audit.log.
I found it under Tools. Only problem is that by default it logs everything.
The log was filled with daily media activities & it only went back about a month.
Do not know if it is a log size issue or a retention age limit.
I could not find a way to adjust the size of the log or increase duration of retention.
Presumably the job in question was edited earlier or got overwritten by other entries.
For now, I unchecked a few categories that I do not want audited.

Hi,
There will be no way to do this. BE doesn't have auditing like you would have in Windows.
The only way around this is to change the service account's password and keep it under lock & key.
Thanks!
