I am having a problem with scheduled backups. When I run the backup manually it completes with no problem. when the scheduler kicks it off the backup fails with the log as follows (note - no XML)

software is v9.1 sp2
OS is Windows 2000 SP4

automatic cancellation is NOT enabled.

this only happens when the scheduler starts the backup. If I right Click on the backup job and choose "run now" it goes through no problems.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi,

Please check whether there are any active alerts listed in "Alerts" tab.

Verify that the media set properties (Overwrite Protection Period, Append Period) are correctly set.

Is the job set to "overwrite" or "append" the tapes.

What is the timeframe specified in "Schedule" > "Time Window" > "Start no earlier than and no alter than".

Ensure that this time difference should be atleast more than 1 minute.....

Hope this helps.

Hi,

How long does the job normally take?

Is it more than 59 mins?
